Book #1 — Focuses on Anger
Amazon Best Seller
Do you feel impatient or angry when you can’t find something? Does your face turn red, and you can’t seem to stay calm?
Anger can make you feel out of control. In this adventure, I become angry when I can’t find my raspberries. My best friend, Patrick the Porcupine, calms me down.
Are you being picked on or teased for being different? Do you often feel sad when you feel like you don’t fit in?
Sadness comes in all forms and can make you feel alone. In this adventure, I help Shelly the Skunk through her sadness because she doesn’t feel like she belongs.
Book #2 — Focuses on Sadness
Book #3 — Focuses on Fear
Do you get scared and want to hide when you have to change your school, move to a new home, or find all new friends?
Fear of the unknown can make us scared because we don't know what to expect. In this adventure, I help Brock the Beaver through his fear of moving to a new place.
Book #4 — Focuses on Grief
When a parent, grandparent, friend, or pet can no longer be with you, you may feel happy one moment and sad the next.
Grief can cause you to feel many different emotions, which can be confusing. In this adventure, I help Roxy the Rabbit understand and feel her grief. She learns that it's okay to not know how to feel and there's no one "right" way to heal grief.
Book #5 — Focuses on Anxiety
Do you sometimes worry when you don’t know what to do? Do you have a tummy ache, feel scared, or your hands shake?
Anxiety can make you feel worried or afraid. In this adventure, I help my friend, Olivia the Otter, understand her anxiety and that asking for help is the brave thing to do.

Book #6 —
Focuses on Embarrassment
Do things sometimes not go the way you want them to? Maybe you lost a game, made a mistake, or did not pass a test.
Embarrassment is common and happens to all of us. In this adventure, Henry the Hedgehog and Shelly the Skunk help Brock the Beaver understand and overcome embarrassment when he fails a big test.
Hi! I'm Henry the Hedgehog.
I love adventures, don’t you? My favorite activities include searching for huge red raspberries, swimming in the nearby watering hole, and hanging out with my friends: Patrick the Porcupine, Shelly the Skunk, Brock the Beaver, Roxy the Rabbit, and Olivia the Otter.
On my adventures, I feel many emotions, such as anger, sadness, fear, grief, and anxiety. But, by working with my friends, I learn how to solve a problem and handle my emotions in a better way. You can do it, too!
It’s okay to talk about your feelings, and that’s what we’re going to do. I’ll give your parents, teachers, and counselors the tools they need to have important conversations with you about your feelings.
Let's make a new friend! I'd like to introduce you to my friend (and author), Dr. Renea Skelton.
What Readers Are Saying...
"This story reminded me of when I was a child watching Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. In a light, lively manner, the author dives into the subjects of change and fear. Two common things most children experience the most of in varying degrees. "
